GO WEST – 2023 SHOWCASE WA
The best of Western Australia is on show tonight from 5pm as sponsors from all over WA gather in the Federal Parliament’s The Great Hall.
Organised by the Parliamentary Friendship Group of WA, chaired by Senator Louise Pratt and Ian Goodenough MP, the annual forum has returned after a three-year break due to the COVID pandemic.
The event will celebrate the diverse range of Western Australian industries, services, arts, innovative science, technology, education and unique products.
It will also feature a ‘Taste of WA’ menu created by award-winning celebrity chef Stephen Clarke.
The event will be addressed by the Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition and Western Australian State Minister Reece Whitby on behalf of the WA Premier.
Louise Pratt, Senator for Western Australia said the showcase was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the contributions of the west to the success, identity and fortunes of our nation.
“Showcase WA gives us a rare opportunity to give elevate in our nations capital the breadth of our economy, innovation and great produce that Western Australia brings to Australia and the world.”
“It is so important for the Federal Parliament to understand our state, be connected with the beating heart of WA’s economy and industry.”
“We are particularly pleased that so many of the stakeholders that have come from WA are not only showcasing themselves in Parliament, but have used this opportunity to raise important issues with parliamentarians, ministers and shadow ministers.”
